A note from Coach Kaitz:
For the longest time, development and senior rowing camps have lived on the East Coast. Outside of the Olympic training centers of CRC and Chula Vista, development camps don’t exist on the West Coast, but they should.
Now you have one!
I have coached for over 32 years, at all levels, from novice to elite, club and collegiate, men and women, and this experience has given me a wealth of knowledge- and an insight -on how to get athletes to the next level. I hope to offer you this insight so that your most valuable commodity -Time- is not wasted. You will learn to use your training time wisely, and learn how to get the most out of it.
I look forward to working with the Long Beach Rowing Association, and its staff, to accomplish this goal. Additionally, if your goal is to represent the US in the 2028 Olympics, well, you will get the rare opportunity of actually training on the race course. Remember, the 2028 Olympic rowing course will be only 1500 meters, which represents a very different training model.

A note from Hanne Chupik, President, LBRA
It’s been a while since LBRA has had a big group of younger rowers at the club so we are very excited to be able to offer a very reasonable and professional camp for the ones that want to work hard over the summer and get familiar with the 2028 Olympic Rowing Course in Long Beach, California.
At LBRA we have a good team of experienced coaches and we’re excited to start a collaboration with Coach Kaitz. Our boat park is big. Our facility features 6 boat bays, a weight room, an erg room and locker rooms – all in the laid-back California lifestyle!
California State University, Long Beach is a couple of miles away and is offering dormitory living for the ones that need that (more information below).
